A story of a solution, that collects information of the hosts our Db2 servers run on, the instances, databases etc using an Ansible Automation Platform, presents the information using a Node.js application and provides it to other consumers for all sorts of compliance/capacity/cost management reports that are always up to date. It is also an experiment of new features like using a JSON Web token for database connection.

Db2 LUW V12.1 Modpack 1 and 2 have multiple changes in the area of security and this session will highlight everything new. This includes features such as alternative mask-at-read masking behaviour, new monitoring metrics for TLS encryption, and further enhancements enhancements to audit and tablespace administration. Db2 V12.1.2 also addresses world-writable permissions for files and directories in Db2. Be sure to attend to learn about all of these changes.
